Following a particularly rich 2000 postbreeding season, 6 of the regular seawatchers at "la jetée du Clipon" decided to realize and publish an annual report to relate their observations and field experience. Our goal was to demonstrate the huge potential of the watchpoint and to summarize and preserve the data in a more professional manner, which might even indirectly be used for scientific or conservation purposes.

     The first edition of the report "Clipon2000" came out in august 2001 after months of tough work. With the necessary modesty, we can say that we were very pleased with the unexpected success (the first edition was sold out in a few months) and the positive reactions we received from many, for which we are very grateful. The second edition "Clipon2001" followed the same path, though there remain a few copies that can still be pursued. Many thanks to all who supported us by buying a copy of these reports. Without your support we would not have been able to continue and we are extremely pleased to announce that the 3^rd edition "Clipon 2002" is ready and available from mid August on.

     Like the previous two editions, the 3^rd edition could only be realized thanks to the financial support of our sponsors, to everyone who supported us by buying a copy of the first two editions and to the hard work, both in the field and at home, of the redaction members.

     The new edition "Le Clipon2002" contains 116 pages of information on the post-nuptial migration at "La Jetée du Clipon" in 2002, nicely illustrated with both black&white and color pictures, well readable tables and graphics, synthesis articles, and many more.
